I LOVE mockaroo - thanks for developing and providing such an awesome tool !.
Is there any way to generate x number of company names or fake company names ?.
I’m trying to achieve grouping of the same company names so by restricting to x number of names I can get repeating
groups… is there a way to do this ?..or is a custom field with frequency the best way ?

There isn’t at the moment. Though I’m working on it. Currently things like company name are randomly pulled from a list, so there is no way to control or prevent repeats. The closest thing would be to upload your own list and choose a “sequential” distribution type which will iterate the list in order and this prevent repeats until the entire list has been exhausted.
