I want to generate random City in one column, and random State in another, but I want the City and State to correspond. In other words if I get Los Angeles as the City, The State should be California, etc.
Help?
Mockaroo automatically does this. All of the location fields (City, State, Country, Latitude, Longitude, Postal Code, etc…) are automatically correlated.
It appears that [State,Country,Postal Code] all depend on what city is generated.
Is there a way to change this?
For example: I have a custom distribution for the ‘State’ level. Can Mockaroo generate a city and postal code based on a pre-defined ‘State’?
I just released an update that allows you to restrict generated locations to specific states.
Thanks for your reply and for the new update…
with this new feature would I be able to assign frequency to the states that are generated…
For example:
15 CA
10 TX
5 FL
3 NY
etc etc…
Thanks
Not at the moment. The distribution is fixed and roughly corresponds to the relative populations of those places.
Oh yeah, that’s awesome.
That’s essentially what I was looking for anyways.
Thanks again…
